Our journey began with Legible Signs, a trusted name in Warragul for over 20 years, where we built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliable service. From there, we created Young & Co Custom Gifts, a custom gift and event signage studio in Malvern that brought a personal, creative flair to weddings, events, branding and gifting.

Now, we’ve brought that same passion and expertise to the coast, combining our love of design, signage, and storytelling into one creative hub: The Sign Studio Co.

  • Founder/Graphic Designer

    With over 10 years of hands-on experience, Nalani is the creative eye behind The Sign Studio. Starting out at the previous family business - Legible Signs, she spent 8 years perfecting everything from car wraps to business branding. That merged into 6 years of creating custom gifts and dreamy wedding signage through Young & Co Custom Gifts.

    Today, Nalani combines her creative eye with hands-on skills—designing and producing signage that’s both beautiful and functional. Whether it’s a logo, event piece, or shopfront. She’s dedicated to helping clients bring their vision to life with style, precision, and a deep understanding of what makes both events and brands stand out.

  • Founder/Sign Expert

    With a career in signage that began back in the 1980s, Gordon brings decades of hands-on experience, craftsmanship, and industry knowledge to The Sign Studio. He learned the trade working alongside some of the most skilled and respected signwriters of the time, developing a strong foundation in traditional and modern signage techniques.

    ​Gordon owned and ran Legible Signs for 18 years, building a reputation for quality work across everything from shopfronts to vehicle graphics.

     Later, he joined forces with his wife and daughter to launch Young & Co Custom Gifts, combining his technical skills with a more creative and personalised product range.

    These days, Gordon’s the go-to guy at The Sign Studio for all things signage. Whether it’s installing a sign, wrapping a vehicle, or offering expert advice, he’s all about quality work and helping clients get the best result.

  • Founder/Office Manager

    Michelle brings over 30 years of experience in office and finance management to The Sign Studio. With a strong background in administration, accounts, and project coordination, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

    Before joining the family business, Michelle worked in project management roles for large-scale community facilities, including major swim centres across Victoria.

    Her attention to detail, organisational skills, and calm approach make her the backbone of our operations.

    From managing the books to keeping projects on track, Michelle ensures every job stays on schedule—and that nothing slips through the cracks.
